Abstract:

Feedback-invariant approach to smooth optimal control problems is considered. A Hamiltonian method of investigating regular extremals is developed, analogous to the differential-geometric method of investigation Riemannian geodesics in terms of the Levi-Civita connection and the curvature tensor.
